Reflection in the Mirror.

I look in the mirror I see no self. All I see- is a man.
But I don’t know that man-
“Who is he?
Where did he come from?
I don’t know that man-
He stares at me from behind the glass?
He has horrified, puzzled eyes
Sweaty palms and a shivering torso.
He looks scared and tired,
He wants to be taken care of.
He wants to be loved.”
“Do I know that man?
He feels lost and confused,
This is not how I imagined to be.
I wished for him to be happy, merry and cherished.
But all I see,
Is the reflection of a lonely and a sad being.”
I recognize the man in the glass
It’s me in the real world.
I recall now what happened to me-
I forgot what I truly needed in the race to fulfill my desires.
I got caught up in the rat race that I easily lost the things that truly mattered.
I chose the short routs to success and they have now back fired.
I have lost all my sophisticated valuables
And I am left with the only things that truly matter-
My virtue, my dream and my faith.
I have lost some but I have gained even more,
I have learnt my lessons,
And I am ready to begin new.
I recognize the face in the mirror,
It has sparkly eyes, full of new dreams
I recognize the man in the mirror,I see myself,
I see me.
I see the man, who knows what he needs,
What makes him truly happy!
So I dream big, I work hard to achieve it
I look the reflection in the eye and proudly say,
“Yes, that’s me.”

A Walk by the Sea Shore - Pooja A Shrivastava ( 24th Aug, 2009)

I am walking alone on the beach and
I pause for a moment to see.
I close my eyes and stand still
breathing deeply; taking in.

I am trying to understand-
“What is it about the sea that draws me in?
Is it the salty wind?
Or is it the warm breeze?
Is it the thundering sound of the waves?
Or is it the tickling feeling in my feet which occurs because of waves?
Is it the appearance of stillness at the surface?
Or is it the life within?
Is the sea a metaphor of humane life?
Or is it one more DIVINE simile ?”

I open my eyes,
I feel relieved,
I look at my feet they are sparkly.
I look at the setting sun, its smiling.

And now I know-
“It’s the spirit of hard wok with a pleasant smile on the face,
It’s the wish to be happy even in the averse conditions,
It’s the desire to accomplish the task given by HIM,
It’s the yearning for balance and creating equality.
It’s the depth of the sea- to be and be, the way it is- Big, deep and serene.
Big, deep and serene.”

I dedicate this poem to my Lord..

BALANCE..

The Balance..- How amazing it is that a setting sun on one side is also the rising sun on the other side! How wonderful is the rotation made by the Earth around its orbit leads to the daily cycle of the day and the night, the light and the dark, the sun and the stars!

Lets take a moment and appreciate the Magical Nature -Our LORD's creation- its routine and balance helps us all the living beings to survive on this planet.

Lets try and inculcate the same kind of balance in our lives. Lets have faith that after every failure success will come. Lets not be depressed by one or two or more failed attempts, as the every attempt we make is a stepping stone to our success- "its a step forward. "

Sow this seed of faith, belief and love of Lord in your Soul and you'll realise the hundred, thousands potential hidden inside you..

Have Faith in your Lord,

Have Faith in yourself..

Life, the Task.

One of the thing that I am most certain about is that we were chosen by Him for a mission.
He thought us, capable of accomplishing that mission- and thats why today we are on this beautiful planet -alive. He has presented us with the things which we'll need to survive and complete that task. He gave us- A MIND, A HEART, And the most important - OurFree SPIRIT.
I most sincerely believe that everyone has a mission in their life. All they have to do is dig deep and find what is it that they are best at and how can they use it to make this place a better place to live in and thus make life better for our fellow BEINGS..
I have a little idea about my mission in life and I have to dig more...
With HIS blessings I am sure I'll find my right path..
"May He Always Guide Us Towards The Goal.."
All The Best to everyone..

My Life Till Now contn.

So continuing under the same title..

My Life till now HAS been great..

I am just so grateful that He sent me on this beautiful planet and placed me among the most wonderful, loving and warm people- my family, my friends, my relatives, teachers, neighbours, school mates.. All have been just so wonderful to me.. they all have made a difference in my life, always showed me different point of views, introduced me to different ways of life, acquainted me with different life styles..

In short my life till now has abeen a big learning experience, like reading a your favourite book which has several different volumes (a lot!!) and I am looking forward for many more chapters which are still unread, unlearned... In my process I am sure I'll revise some old learned texts which might be forgotten and may be this time I'll learn it with a whole new perspective..

Life till now...
